A tapping resounded through the small room as time silently slid by the two beings within, the only hint of its passing given by the changing symbols upon the face of the digital clock sitting atop the single wooden desk in the room. It was upon this desk that the second creature within the room drummed its clawed fingers, creating the noise which reverberated around them both. As another minute slipped by and was marked by the clock once more, the slight movement caught the eye of the slightly larger first creature, whose eyes darted sideways to glare at the piece of technology standing between them
